The Bellperson role at Montage International is an essential position designed to support the Rooms leadership team in delivering exceptional service to guests from the moment they arrive until they depart. This role centers on managing the full-cycle guest luggage experience, ensuring each guest’s belongings are handled with care and efficiency. Bellpersons engage warmly with guests, providing helpful information about hotel rooms, services, and amenities to enhance their stay. They are also responsible for facilitating hotel room orientations and delivering requested items to guest rooms. Occasionally, this role may include driving hotel vehicles for short guest-related trips, such as pick-ups, drop-offs, or retrieval errands, further contributing to the seamless guest experience.

As a Bellperson, you will be a visible and integral part of the guest experience, creating positive impressions that align with Montage International's commitment to luxury and personalized service. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting luggage up to 60 pounds and handling equipment weighing up to 250 pounds. Candidates must have a customer-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Previous experience in a similar bell or luxury hotel role is preferred to ensure familiarity with the specific expectations of upscale hospitality. The role is hourly and offers a competitive pay rate of $17.75 per hour, not including additional gratuities or incentive-based earnings.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English, the primary language used in the workplace
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Physical ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours
  • Ability to bend, squat and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
  • Good grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English, the primary language used in the workplace
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Luxury hotel experience preferred
  • Prior Bell position experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assisting with full-cycle guest luggage program
  • Facilitating hotel room orientations
  • Delivering amenities and other items to guest rooms as needed
  • Working knowledge about hotel rooms, services and features and relaying information to guests
  • Driving hotel vehicles off property for short distances for guest drop-offs and pick-ups or item retrievals as requested
