Job Description
Renaissance Hotels, a distinguished brand within the Marriott International portfolio, is renowned for offering exceptional hospitality experiences that highlight the unique character and culture of the neighborhoods they serve. Located at 6007 Legacy Dr, Plano, Texas, Renaissance Hotels provides guests with an opportunity to immerse themselves in local culture, discover new adventures, and enjoy memorable stays that go beyond the ordinary. As part of Marriott International, the company is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity, equal opportunity, and associate growth are prioritized. Marriott International recognizes the value of diverse backgrounds and experiences, and actively maintains a work environment free from discrimination on any protected basis, including disability and veteran status. The brand's ethos encourages team members and guests alike to explore spontaneously and embrace new stories through travel, making every stay an adventure worth remembering.
The Guest Arrival Expert role at Renaissance Hotels is pivotal in creating unforgettable first and last impressions for guests. As the initial point of contact upon arrival and the final touchpoint during departure, Guest Arrival Experts are entrusted with ensuring that guests feel valued, welcomed, and cared for throughout their stay. This part-time, non-management position demands individuals who are energetic, proactive, and dedicated to exceptional service. Working primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Guest Arrival Experts engage in a variety of operational and guest-oriented tasks that make every interaction smooth and personable.
In this role, the Guest Arrival Expert guides guests through their arrival and departure processes, addressing any operational needs and responding promptly to guest requests. They complete necessary reports and provide guests with helpful insights about local attractions and highlights, enhancing the overall guest experience. This position requires physical stamina as it involves standing, walking, and moving around for extended periods, along with lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds independently or heavier items with assistance. The hands-on nature of the role reflects the commitment to doing what needs to be done to exceed guest expectations and support the hotel’s operations.
Professionalism is essential in maintaining Marriott's high standards. Guest Arrival Experts must consistently present themselves with proper uniform and appearance, adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, and safeguard company assets and guest confidentiality. The role demands a high level of attention to detail and a genuine passion for service, ensuring that every guest encounter contributes positively to the hotel's reputation.
While no prior work experience or supervisory experience is required, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. This makes the position ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in hospitality or those who thrive in dynamic, guest-facing roles. Renaissance Hotels offers a welcoming environment where new associates can develop valuable skills and build their careers within the Marriott International family.
Joining Renaissance Hotels means being part of a global team that celebrates uniqueness and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy being part of creating memorable guest experiences, this role offers a rewarding pathway to showcase your talents, contribute to a vibrant culture, and grow within an industry-leading organization.
