21c Museum Hotels stands out as an innovative hospitality company that uniquely blends the worlds of contemporary art, boutique hotel accommodations, and chef-driven dining experiences. This pioneering establishment offers guests more than just a place to stay — it delivers a multifaceted cultural experience by combining a multi-venue modern art museum with elegant accommodations and exceptional cuisine. Known for its vibrant community engagement and its dedication to leading with art, 21c Museum Hotels creates an inviting and immersive environment for travelers who appreciate creativity, sophistication, and a deep connection to local culture.

The company is not only dedicated to providing a memorable visit through its art and lodging but also consistently strives to meet the high standards of hospitality service. Employment at 21c Museum Hotels offers an opportunity to be part of a passionate team that values saying 'YES' to creating exceptional guest experiences, actively contributing to the cultural fabric of the neighborhoods where their properties are located. The organization prides itself on fostering a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.

The role of Porter/Valet at 21c Museum Hotels is critical to delivering that exceptional guest experience. Reporting to the Front Office Manager or Rooms Manager, this position operates under general supervision but requires a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness. The Porter/Valet ensures guest satisfaction and comfort by providing attentive and prompt service for vehicle management and luggage handling. This includes greeting guests upon arrival, assisting with unloading and transporting luggage, and offering valet parking services with utmost care. The position also entails maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of the hotel’s lobby and entrances, which play a vital role in shaping guests’ first impressions of the property.

Additionally, the Porter/Valet acts as an ambassador for the hotel by delivering items such as laundry, newspapers, or extra linens to guest rooms and responding to inquiries about hotel services and local attractions. Staying informed about local activities and establishments is essential to providing guests with helpful recommendations and directions. Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times is necessary not only in interactions with guests but also with team members and the general public. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends, and willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and inside the hotel.

21c Museum Hotels values employees who demonstrate a responsible, dependable, and courteous approach, with strong communication skills and a clean, professional appearance. To succeed in this role, candidates must have a valid driver’s license, at least two years of driving experience with a clean driving record, and the capability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. The company supports training for proficiency with manual transmissions to be achieved within the first 90 days of employment. Physical readiness is equally important, as the job involves lifting luggage up to 70 pounds, prolonged standing, walking, climbing stairs, and operating luggage carts.

Overall, the Porter/Valet position at 21c Museum Hotels offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking hospitality team that merges art and service excellence.
