Job Description

Black Desert Resort is a premier luxury resort nestled in the stunning landscape of Southern Utah. Renowned for its ultra-premium hospitality, world-class golf courses, exquisite fine dining, and unparalleled scenic beauty, Black Desert Resort offers guests a unique experience that combines relaxation, adventure, and sophistication. The resort prides itself on delivering exceptional service that caters to travelers seeking the highest standards of comfort and elegance in a serene and captivating environment.

As a full-time member of the Black Desert Resort team, the Door/Bell Person plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience from the moment of arrival to the time of departure. This position is a key part of the guest arrival and departure team, responsible for creating memorable first impressions and last impressions that reflect the resort’s commitment to excellence. The Door/Bell Person serves as an ambassador of the resort, warmly welcoming guests with professionalism and courtesy while providing essential assistance throughout their stay.

The role involves greeting guests, assisting with luggage handling, coordinating with valet and shuttle services, and offering guidance and information to ensure a seamless and enjoyable arrival experience. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine hospitality mindset are essential for success in this position. The Door/Bell Person supports shuttle operations, helps with luggage storage and retrieval, and collaborates closely with the Front Desk, Valet, Concierge, and Housekeeping teams to maintain smooth and cohesive guest services.

This full-time position offers a base pay rate of $13 per hour plus tips and includes a variety of competitive benefits such as health insurance, 401K with company match, paid time off, exclusive resort discounts, and complimentary employee hotel stays. The work environment is dynamic and guest-focused, providing opportunities for professional growth within the hospitality industry. Team members at Black Desert Resort enjoy working in a supportive atmosphere that values dedication, teamwork, and high standards of service.

The Door/Bell Person role demands physical stamina, as it requires standing, walking, and lifting heavy luggage carts outdoors in varying weather conditions. Flexibility in scheduling—including working weekends, holidays, and early or late shifts—is required to meet the demands of the resort’s busy arrival and departure periods. Overall, this role is ideal for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences in a luxury resort setting and who thrive in a collaborative team environment committed to excellence.
