Job Description
The hiring establishment is a professional hospitality service offering front-of-house guest support with a focus on personalized, efficient service. This entity operates within the hotel industry, providing comprehensive assistance to guests from their arrival to their departure. The company places a premium on maintaining a welcoming, safe, and immaculate environment to enhance the guest experience and solidify customer loyalty. Known for its commitment to quality service, it fosters a team-oriented culture where roles are clearly defined and the staff is empowered to deliver hospitality with professionalism and warmth. It appears to emphasize the importance of upholding safety protocols and cleanliness standards in all areas accessible to guests, including the lobby, business center, pool area, and fitness facilities.
This establishment is currently seeking to hire a full-time Hospitality Service Representative with availability primarily during the afternoon to evening hours, specifically from 2 pm to 6 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm. This role is central to the guest experience, responsible for delivering an array of guest services designed to facilitate smooth arrivals, stays, and departures. The position involves a diverse set of duties: from assisting guests with their luggage to acting as an informative guide about the hotel's amenities and safety procedures. The Hospitality Service Representative will also maintain the front of the hotel, ensuring that the lobby and adjoining public areas remain clean, orderly, and inviting at all times.
Another critical aspect of this role is vehicle management, including valet parking services. This requires safely parking guests' vehicles in designated areas and retrieving them promptly upon request. In addition, the position may involve performing scheduled airport pick-ups and drop-offs, necessitating a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle. Physical stamina is also important, as the role demands lifting luggage up to 50 pounds and pushing a bell cart that weighs up to 100 pounds. Effective communication skills are vital, as the representative will deliver messages, packages, and mail to guests, and must manage traffic flow around the hotel front and parking areas to ensure guest safety and convenience.
The position emphasizes the necessity for past customer-facing experience, highlighting at least six months of prior work in a similar capacity. This ensures that the successful candidate has the interpersonal skills and guest service aptitude required to excel in a fast-paced hotel environment. This role is full-time, reflecting the importance of consistent and reliable service coverage during peak guest activity hours. It also involves adherence to equal employment opportunity guidelines, with nondiscriminatory hiring practices and accommodations for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities, reflecting the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
In summary, the Hospitality Service Representative role is an integral component of the hotel’s guest service team. The successful candidate functions not only as a porter and valet driver but also as a key ambassador of the hotel brand, dedicated to fostering a positive guest experience through professional conduct, attentiveness, and operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to grow their career in the hospitality field, providing hands-on guest interaction and logistical support in a dynamic environment.
