We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Guest Services Attendant to join our dynamic team. This position is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience by managing all luggage-related needs promptly and professionally. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage to and from their rooms with care and efficiency, ensuring each guest feels valued and welcomed. Beyond luggage handling, the role involves instructing guests on the proper use of in-room equipment and promoting awareness of the extensive resort services and amenities available to them.
In addition to luggage management, the Guest Services Attendant will provide a variety of miscellaneous guest services including mail handling, delivery of newspapers, and laundry and other materials requests. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the baggage room, carts, guest elevators, and lobby area is a critical component of the role to uphold the resort’s high standards of presentation.
The position also includes duties such as providing valet and shuttle services, offering guests convenient and reliable transportation solutions. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability. Effective communication skills in English are essential, with bilingual abilities considered a valuable asset to better serve our diverse clientele.
Previous experience in guest services within the hospitality industry is preferred, as is a flexible schedule to accommodate days, evenings, holidays, and weekends as required by operational demands. Job Duties
- Provide courteous and efficient service to all guests by handling all luggage requirements to and from guest rooms
- instruct guests on correct operation of all equipment in rooms and inform them of resort amenities and services
- provide miscellaneous guest services such as mail service, delivery of newspapers, laundry, and other materials as requested
- maintain baggage room, carts, guest elevators, and lobby area to ensure it is neat and orderly
- provide valet and shuttle services for guests
- tolerate variable temperature conditions as work is performed outdoors
- communicate effectively in English, bilingual a plus
