Positioned as a vital part of the Guest Services Team, the Bell Attendant role is fundamental to ensuring guests have a seamless and welcoming arrival and departure experience. This role serves as the first and last impression guests have of the resort, making it a high-profile position with significant responsibilities. Bell Attendants greet guests warmly, assist with luggage, manage guest vehicle valet services, and handle package deliveries, all while maintaining a professional and hospitable demeanor. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
In addition to interacting directly with guests, Bell Attendants assist with various operational duties including seasonal equipment storage and delivery, errands that may require local travel, and maintaining accurate records using computer systems such as Opera, HotSOS, and MS Excel. The role requires physical stamina to manage heavy luggage carts and boxes as well as standing and walking for extended periods. Flexibility in working various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- possession of a current US driver's license and a clean driving record
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift heavy luggage and boxes as specified
- excellent communication skills
- flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
- fluency in English
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar role, in a luxury hotel setting preferred
- possession of a current US driver's license and proof of clean driving record
- comfortable driving a variety of vehicles including manual transmissions
- ability to multi-task on several items at once
- must be able to stand/walk for up to eight hours per shift
- ability to move luggage carts weighing up to 200lbs as well as the ability to lift and carry boxes up to 100lbs
- good communication skills
- flexible schedule required for AM and PM shifts, weekends and holidays
- fluency in English
- current work authorization in the United States
- ability to speak Spanish a plus
Job Duties
- Greets guests and escorts them to their rooms
- delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive
- valets guest vehicles in the garage and retrieves when requested
- maintains proper records of stored luggage, package deliveries and pick-ups in compliance with Four Seasons Standards
- handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- helps resolve customer complaints, assists guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc
- completes any tasks of a Doorman, Bellman, Valet Driver or House car Attendant
- works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
- performs duties related to guests and residents' seasonal equipment storage or delivery of ski equipment and mountain bikes and related gear
- performs errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off the hotel property
- uses computer systems such as Opera, HotSOS and MS Excel
