Within GDIT, the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or Mental Health Technician (MHT) role plays a crucial part in supporting behavioral health care delivery. They are also tasked with record keeping, scheduling, and coordinating case review activities with military and civilian agencies.

This role demands someone highly trained in mental health care, conflict management, and crisis de-escalation techniques, including verbal and physical intervention methods where necessary. A minimum of three years of experience as a psychiatric technician and an associate degree or equivalent military training is required. Additionally, the technician must be capable of obtaining or holding a Secret or Top-Secret clearance.

The position is contingent with anticipated start in 2027 and could be located at various sites within and outside the continental United States. It offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience and contract specifics, ranging roughly from $17.33 to $23.45.
