Job Description

ABS Kids is a dedicated organization focused on providing ABA therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Known for its compassionate approach and commitment to making a significant impact in the lives of children, ABS Kids combines evidence-based practices with heartfelt care. The company is deeply invested in fostering a culture where diversity is celebrated, and every individual is empowered to thrive. They emphasize equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. ABS Kids supports its employees with a variety of benefits, career advancement opportunities, and ongoing education, creating a workplace environment that is both rewarding and supportive.

The role available is for entry-level Behavior Technicians up to seasoned Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), with variable part-time shifts tailored to suit the candidate's availability. This position offers a generous bonus ranging from $500 to $1000 based on experience and offers a competitive hourly wage between $18.00 and $24.00, with increases for RBT certification. Notably, ABS Kids provides paid RBT certification training, so no prior experience is necessary for those eager to learn on the job. Paid drive time and mileage reimbursement help ease the burden for those traveling to client homes or other locations. Additional compensation benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match and paid time off accrued for every hour worked.

Working as a Behavior Technician at ABS Kids means making a tangible difference in the lives of children by using play, patience, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to teach invaluable real-life skills. The position involves providing one-on-one support to children with autism, collecting and recording behavioral data to track progress, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff alike. The work is physically active, requiring frequent movement and engagement, as well as technological competency to manage data collection software and other office tools.

Beyond the day-to-day duties, ABS Kids offers extensive support to its team members, including a structured LAUNCH career path with clear milestones, rewards, bonuses, and promotions. Employees have access to a referral bonus program, free continuing education opportunities, and complimentary CPR and safety training. The organization also provides an employee assistance program featuring free financial advice, counseling support, and mental health resources. Virtual office connections allow staff to network with colleagues nationwide, participate in local events, and build a community centered around shared goals and professional growth. Employees gain transferable skills in behavioral health that can lead to exciting and fulfilling career opportunities within the field.

This opportunity is open to individuals with varying backgrounds, especially those who have experience working with children or adults with special needs in settings such as nannying, paraprofessional roles, teaching, CNA experience, personal attendant jobs, daycare, childcare, babysitting, caregiving, or aides. Academic backgrounds in psychology, social work, or sociology are also valuable. The role requires availability during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from either 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm, along with reliable transportation to travel to client locations.

Joining ABS Kids as a Behavior Technician is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to change lives and build a brighter future for children with autism spectrum disorder. The organization pledges to provide the tools, training, and supportive culture necessary to help new team members succeed and grow professionally. If you have a heart for helping kids, a calm and steady presence, and the energy to play and engage, ABS Kids invites you to apply and become part of a mission-driven team passionate about making a difference.
