Job Description

ABS Kids is a dedicated organization committed to supporting children with autism and their families through compassionate and evidence-based care. Founded with a mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder, ABS Kids embraces diversity, celebrates unique stories, and fosters a culture where all individuals thrive. The company values equal employment opportunities, welcoming people from various backgrounds, and is dedicated to continuous growth and learning within an inclusive environment. This is not just a workplace but a community where every milestone and achievement in a child's development is celebrated as a collective success, providing both the staff and families a hopeful and brighter future. ABS Kids offers variable part-time shifts for Behavior Technicians, ranging from entry-level to seasoned Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), with competitive hourly rates starting at $19.50 and going up to $24.00, including premium pay for bilingual staff and bonuses based on experience. Employees benefit from paid RBT certification training, paid drive time with mileage reimbursement, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement through their LAUNCH career path program. Other benefits include referral bonuses, free continuing education, CPR and safety training, and employee assistance programs with mental health and financial counseling. The role of a Behavior Technician at ABS Kids goes beyond standard therapy work; it is a chance to profoundly impact the lives of children by using play, patience, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach vital life skills. Technicians work one-on-one with children, collecting data on behaviors and progress while helping each child develop motor, social, emotional, and daily living skills like personal hygiene and potty training. The role requires physical activity, including frequently getting down to and up from the floor and active movement during sessions. ABS Kids seeks compassionate, patient, and energetic individuals who love working with children and are eager to grow professionally in the behavioral health field. This position is ideal for people with backgrounds in child care, education, psychology, social work, or related fields, though no prior experience is required as ABS Kids provides comprehensive training and support. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish and English, are highly preferred and rewarded with additional pay. ABS Kids’ environment is supportive and inclusive, with regular virtual and local events that connect colleagues nationwide, contributing to a rich professional network and community. This opportunity offers not just a job but a mission to make real, lasting changes in the clients' lives and provides transferable skills valuable for careers in behavioral health and related disciplines.
