Job Description
ABS Kids is a dedicated organization that specializes in providing therapy and support services for children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. The company is committed to creating a positive impact in the lives of children by utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to nurture essential life skills and improve overall quality of life. ABS Kids operates with a mission to empower children and families through compassionate, evidence-based care, ensuring every child receives personalized attention and support tailored to their unique needs. The organization also values diversity and inclusion, striving to create a culture where all employees and clients feel heard, valued, and celebrated for their unique backgrounds and stories. ABS Kids believes in fostering an environment where everyone can thrive, backed by a strong commitment to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.
This role is for Behavior Technicians, including entry-level candidates and experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), offering variable part-time shifts that accommodate different availability schedules. Employment opportunities include shifts from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $18.00 to $24.00, with increases available for candidates who obtain RBT certification. Importantly, no prior experience is necessary as ABS Kids provides paid RBT certification and hands-on training on the job, making this an excellent opportunity for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of children but who may be new to the field. Bonus incentives between $500 and $1000 are provided based on experience, encouraging candidates to grow professionally within the company.
Behavior Technicians at ABS Kids play a crucial role in helping children develop real-life skills using play, patience, and ABA therapy methods. Technicians are responsible for collecting and recording data on client behavior and progress, while providing one-on-one support to children with autism. The role requires maintaining a safe and respectful environment for both clients and staff, facilitating the development of critical life skills including motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living activities, potty training, social, and emotional skills. Candidates must be physically capable of frequent movement, including getting up and down from the floor as therapy often involves engaging with children in play-based activities.
Beyond the rewarding work with children, ABS Kids supports its employees with a range of benefits designed to foster career growth and personal well-being. Notable benefits include paid drive time and mileage reimbursement, paid time off accrued for every hour worked, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and paid continuing education opportunities. The company also offers free CPR and safety training, an employee assistance program featuring financial advice, counseling support, and mental health resources, as well as a referral bonus program. Employees have the opportunity to connect virtually with hundreds of colleagues nationwide and participate in local events, enabling a supportive and collaborative workplace community. ABS Kids also champions the development of transferable skills that open doors to broader careers in behavioral health, providing a strong foundation for future professional advancement.
