Job Description

ABS Kids is a compassionate and purpose-driven organization dedicated to supporting children with autism and their families through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This company stands out in the behavioral health field by offering a comprehensive approach that focuses on improving the lives of children with special needs while empowering employees through growth opportunities and a supportive culture. Established with a mission to create lasting positive impact, ABS Kids is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where every individual’s unique story is honored and celebrated. The company's culture emphasizes shared experiences and the “wow moments” — transformative milestones that reflect progress and meaningful change for their clients. At ABS Kids, employees find more than just a job; they find a fulfilling career that makes a difference in the world. ABS Kids operates with the conviction that a thriving workplace is one where diversity is embraced and all voices are heard, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, nationality, gender, or veteran status.

The role at ABS Kids is for Behavior Technicians, who serve as frontline practitioners delivering one-on-one ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. These professionals are vital in using patience, play, and behavioral science to teach essential life skills to their young clients. This position offers various part-time shifts accommodating different schedules, including entry-level roles and positions for seasoned Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), making it accessible to individuals at different stages of their careers. This job is not just about employment but about helping children develop motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living skills, potty training, social and emotional growth, and more. Staff members collect and document data meticulously to track client progress and contribute to individualized treatment plans. Additionally, bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish and English are especially valued and receive premium pay when matched with bilingual-required sessions.

ABS Kids supports its employees robustly through paid certification programs for RBTs, which require no prior experience as training—along with mileage reimbursement, paid drive time, competitive hourly wages ranging from $19.50 to $24.00 (with increases for RBT certification), 401(k) plans with company matches, and paid time off earned for every hour worked. Furthermore, the company offers career advancement via the LAUNCH career path with clear milestones and bonuses, a referral bonus program, free continuing education opportunities, CPR and safety training, and an employee assistance program that includes financial advice, counseling, and mental health resources. Social connections with colleagues are encouraged through virtual meetings and local events to promote community and teamwork. This comprehensive benefits package signifies ABS Kids’ commitment to employee well-being and professional development.

This role is ideal for individuals with a compassionate heart for children, calm and steady demeanors, and a strong eagerness to engage playfully in therapeutic interventions. Candidates who have experience in childcare or related fields such as nannying, teaching, CNA, or social work are excellent fits and will find themselves well-prepared for the responsibilities of the job. Reliable transportation is required due to the home-based nature of many client visits, and technological aptitude is beneficial since data collection and software use are integral to the position. This is an opportunity to join a respected organization dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of children with autism by helping them and their families achieve brighter futures.
