Behavior Technician / RBT (Bonus Opportunity)

Joining ABS Kids as a Behavior Technician means becoming part of a supportive team dedicated to making a real difference in children’s lives. This position offers flexible part-time shifts designed to accommodate entry-level Behavior Technicians as well as seasoned Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). With a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $24, the role further offers salary increases upon obtaining RBT certification. ABS Kids supports professional growth by paying for RBT training and certifications, empowering new candidates even without prior experience. Candidates have the option to benefit from a bonus ranging from $500 to $1000, which is awarded based on their relevant experience.

The role requires availability during weekday business hours, specifically from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. As a Behavior Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one support to children with autism, utilizing play, patience, and ABA strategies to teach essential life skills. This includes helping to develop motor skills, personal hygiene, potty training, social and emotional competencies, and basic daily living activities. You will also be responsible for collecting and recording accurate data on client behavior and progress, which is critical for developing and adjusting treatment plans.

ABS Kids values candidates with a strong heart for helping children and a calm, steady presence. The ability to quickly get up and down from the floor and move with agility is essential for effective interaction with children. Reliable transportation is a must, as is a willingness to travel to client homes and other locations. Technical skills are also important, as you will use data collection software and other basic office applications. Those with backgrounds in caregiving roles such as nannies, paraprofessionals, teachers, CNAs, personal attendants, daycare workers, babysitters, caregivers, or aides, as well as those having studied psychology, social work, or sociology, are especially well-positioned for success in this role.
