The role offered is for Behavior Technicians ranging from entry-level to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) within ABS Kids. This position provides a unique and rewarding opportunity to work directly with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, applying play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills that are essential for their growth and development. The position offers variable part-time shifts to accommodate different schedules, typically Monday through Friday with options ranging from early mornings to evenings. Employees in this role receive competitive hourly compensation of $20.00 to $25.00, with additional increases for those who achieve RBT certification. The company also incentivizes bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish and English or other languages, with an extra $1.00 per hour premium pay when matched with client sessions requiring bilingual support. Generous bonuses ranging from $500 to $1000 are available based on experience.

In this role, Behavior Technicians are expected to make a meaningful difference by using ABA therapy techniques to teach children motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living activities, social and emotional skills, and potty training. They will collect and record data on client behavior and progress and provide one-on-one support in a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment. The role demands physical activity, including frequently getting up and down off the floor and moving quickly as needed.

Candidates ideally have at least six months of experience working with children in any setting or adults with special needs and should demonstrate a compassionate heart and calm, steady presence. Candidates should be eager, energetic, and tech-savvy to learn data collection software and office programs. Reliable transportation is essential, as the job requires traveling to client homes and various locations. Fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred to maximize impact during bilingual sessions.
