Job Description
ABS Kids is a dedicated organization committed to providing exceptional behavioral health services, focusing on children with autism spectrum disorder. With a mission rooted in making a significant difference in the lives of children and their families, ABS Kids offers comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and other support services. Known for embracing diversity and fostering inclusive work culture, ABS Kids operates with the core belief that every child's potential can be unlocked through tailored therapeutic interventions. The company values milestones and 'wow moments' as testaments to their impact and ongoing commitment to nurturing growth and development in young clients.
ABS Kids is currently seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians. This role is pivotal in delivering one-on-one support to children with autism, utilizing play, patience, and ABA therapy techniques to help clients acquire essential life skills. Behavior Technicians at ABS Kids play a vital role in implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting and recording data on client progress, and maintaining safe and respectful environments. This position offers variable part-time shifts Monday through Friday, designed to accommodate diverse schedules with options like 8:00am-5:00pm, 9:00am-6:00pm, 12:00pm-7:00pm, and 3:00pm-7:00pm.
The employment type predominantly caters to part-time hours, ideal for entry-level technicians as well as seasoned Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). ABS Kids provides an attractive compensation package ranging from $20.00 to $24.50 per hour, with premium pay for bilingual candidates and additional increases for obtaining RBT certification. The company supports employees through paid RBT certification training, paid drive time, mileage reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan with a company match. Employees also accrue paid time off for every hour worked, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
This role is perfect for individuals with a heart for helping kids and a calm, steady presence. Candidates with experience in childcare, education, or related fields, or those with backgrounds in psychology, social work, or sociology, will find themselves well-aligned with the responsibilities of the position. ABS Kids also encourages those new to behavioral health by offering comprehensive on-the-job training and support. Along with a structured LAUNCH career path with clear milestones, bonuses, and promotions, employees receive free continuing education, CPR and safety training, and access to mental health resources through an employee assistance program.
Joining ABS Kids means becoming part of a community that values each person's unique story and contributions, fostering an environment where all employees can thrive. With opportunities for local and nationwide connections and events, the organization ensures that its team members feel supported and engaged. This position not only provides a rewarding job but also the chance to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of children and their families. ABS Kids invites passionate, bilingual individuals fluent in Spanish and English to apply now and embark on a fulfilling career path dedicated to behavioral health and child development.
