These moments reinforce the mission to enrich the lives of children with autism and empower their families, creating a lasting positive impact. The organization fosters an inclusive culture that values diverse stories and experiences, promoting an environment where all employees and clients can thrive. ABS Kids is committed to equal employment opportunities, upholding fairness regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or veteran status. This commitment ensures a respectful and supportive workplace for everyone.
The role at ABS Kids offers a meaningful opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs. This position involves implementing individualized behavior plans and protocols under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to clients, helping children develop crucial skills including motor abilities, personal hygiene, daily living tasks, potty training, and social-emotional growth. A significant part of the job includes closely monitoring and recording client behavior and progress, ensuring that interventions are effective and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
This role is ideal for energetic and creative individuals who enjoy working with children and adults with special needs. Candidates with six or more months of documented experience in this field in California are eligible for a $500 bonus. The hourly wage ranges from $20.00 to $24.50, with additional increases available for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification holders. Paid training, drive time compensation, mileage reimbursement, and a comprehensive 401(k) plan with company match are among the benefits designed to support the employee’s professional growth and well-being.
ABS Kids also provides ample opportunities for career advancement through its LAUNCH career path program, which features clear milestones, bonuses, and promotions. Employees receive access to free continuing education, CPR and safety training, and an employee assistance program offering financial advice, counseling support, and mental health resources. The organization fosters a connected work environment through virtual office connections and local events that build camaraderie among colleagues nationwide. Working at ABS Kids not only allows employees to learn valuable transferable skills in the behavioral health field but also offers a rewarding and impactful career journey devoted to improving the quality of life for children with autism and their families.
