Job Description
ABS Kids is a dedicated organization specializing in providing exceptional care and support to children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. We are passionate about making a measurable impact on the lives we touch, driven by creating meaningful "wow moments" that inspire growth and development. ABS Kids fosters an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated and every individual's story and background are valued. We believe that cultivating an environment where all people thrive leads to the best support possible for our clients. Our commitment extends beyond the children to their families, ensuring that our methods, care, and interactions are respectful, empathetic, and rooted in proven scientific evidence. We are proud to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or veteran status.
This employment opportunity is an ideal fit for those who are motivated to work closely with children or adults with special needs, utilizing evidence-based practices guided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The role involves implementing individualized behavior plans and collecting significant data on client progress to enhance treatment effectiveness. This position requires someone energetic, dependable, and tech-savvy who enjoys working one-on-one with clients in a flexible, supportive environment. The salary range offered lies between $20.00 and $24.50 per hour, with the potential for salary increases based on obtaining Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. In addition to hourly wages, candidates with six months or more experience working with special needs populations in California qualify for a $500 bonus. Furthermore, employees receive a $500 bonus after 90 days of employment.
In this role, you will help children develop fundamental life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social-emotional abilities. The position demands physical activity, including frequent movement and the ability to get up and down from the floor to engage actively with clients. ABS Kids provides extensive paid training and encourages continuous learning through free education opportunities and CPR and safety training. This role offers a fulfilling career path, supporting employee growth with a clear milestone system called LAUNCH that rewards achievements with bonuses, promotions, and referral opportunities. We also provide paid drive time, mileage reimbursement, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and paid time off earned based on hours worked.
At ABS Kids, employees enjoy a connected workplace with access to a large virtual network of colleagues nationwide and frequent local events in various areas. Additional support comes through an Employee Assistance Program that includes free financial advice, counseling, and mental health resources. By joining our team, you will gain valuable transferable skills opening doors to diverse career opportunities in behavioral health and related fields. If you are playful, creative, reliable, and passionate about making a difference, ABS Kids provides a rewarding, stable, and dynamic work environment where your efforts directly impact the lives of those we serve.
