Founded with a commitment to diversity and inclusion, ABS Kids fosters a culture where every individual, regardless of their background, can thrive. This commitment extends to equal employment opportunities, ensuring fairness regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or veteran status. ABS Kids is recognized for its empowering work environment, comprehensive training, and the provision of evidence-based behavioral health services that have proven success.
Joining ABS Kids as a Behavior Technician means becoming a vital part of a compassionate, driven team dedicated to improving the lives of children with special needs. This role is designed for individuals passionate about working directly with clients, implementing individualized behavior plans under the oversight of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The Behavior Technician supports children with autism by providing one-on-one care, collecting and recording behavioral data, and assisting in the development of essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, social and emotional skills, daily living activities, and potty training. You will be active throughout the day, requiring frequent movement to engage effectively with clients, providing high-quality, attentive care. This role offers a competitive hourly wage between 18.00 to 20.50 dollars, with an additional sign-on bonus of 500 dollars after 90 days of employment and a $500 bonus for candidates who have six or more months of experience working with children or adults with special needs. There is also a salary increase opportunity for those who obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Working at ABS Kids is not just a job but a career path with the LAUNCH program that offers clear milestones, rewards, bonuses, and promotions. Technicians receive paid drive time, mileage reimbursement, paid time off earned for every hour worked, and paid training to ensure continuous professional development. Additionally, ABS Kids supports its employees with free continuing education, free CPR and safety training, a referral bonus program, and access to an employee assistance program which includes financial advice, counseling support, and mental health resources. The team environment is enhanced by virtual connections to hundreds of colleagues nationwide and local events which foster learning transferable skills that open doors to great careers in behavioral health. This position allows you to make a meaningful difference daily through evidence-based methods and to grow professionally within a nurturing, mission-driven company.
