The role of ABA Behavioral Interventionist/Therapist (also known as Behavior Technician) at Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center presents an exceptional opportunity for those passionate about working with children and individuals with developmental challenges. This position entails delivering one-to-one ABA therapy sessions primarily conducted in clients' homes, as well as in schools, clinics, or community settings across Los Angeles County. Therapy sessions typically range from two to five hours and mainly target children between ages 3 and 17 and a half years. Interventionists are responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans and behavior support strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs to teach essential skills in communication, self-care, academics, and social interaction.

In addition, the ABA Behavioral Interventionist plays a key role in reducing challenging behaviors through positive behavior support methods and continuously collects and analyzes data to monitor client progress meticulously. Maintaining accurate documentation and session notes is essential, alongside collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and participation in clinical team meetings to ensure the most effective and coordinated care. Furthermore, interventionists provide vital support and coaching to caregivers, helping to reinforce ABA strategies at home and fostering a consistent therapeutic environment.

Asteri offers part-time employment with competitive pay ranging from $23.00 to $27.00 per hour. The organization supports its practitioners with paid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and clinical training, mentorship, career advancement opportunities, and a flexible schedule designed to accommodate employees' availability. The role may involve physical activity such as lifting, bending, or kneeling during sessions and requires a reliable vehicle to travel within a 25-mile radius of the practitioner’s location.
