Job Description
Futures, a proud member of the Sevita family, is a distinguished provider of community and center-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services, catering specifically to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related developmental disorders. With more than 15 years of dedicated service, Futures has deeply embedded itself in the mission to support children and families through a collaborative and team-based approach. The organization’s foundation is built on creating supportive environments where individuals can achieve their fullest potential through evidence-based ABA therapy, tailored intervention plans, and compassionate care.
Futures offers a comprehensive ABA therapy program that is designed to meet the unique needs of each individual served. Their services are provided both in community settings and center-based environments, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for families and clients. With a strong emphasis on partnership, the team at Futures works hand-in-hand with families, caregivers, and other professionals to foster progress in behavior management, social skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities. This holistic support system has made Futures a trusted name in the developmental disabilities community.
The Behavior Technician role at Futures is vital for the successful implementation of behavior management programs. This position focuses on direct interaction with individuals in a Center-Based setting, working one-on-one under the supervision and guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role requires a passionate individual who is experienced in behavioral therapy, eager to contribute to positive behavioral changes, and committed to the organization's mission of enhancing quality of life for those served.
The primary responsibility of the Behavior Technician is to consistently implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the accurate application of ABA methodologies. This includes collecting detailed behavior data, providing educational support to families, and promoting socially acceptable replacement behaviors for individuals. The technician is instrumental in bridging the gap between clinical recommendations and daily practice by collaborating closely with the treatment team and families.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $24.50 and includes a generous $2,000 new hire bonus, reflecting the company’s commitment to attracting talented professionals dedicated to this important work. Employees receive a full compensation and benefits package after working 32 hours per week, which includes paid time off, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan with company match. There is also an opportunity for free supervision towards BCBA hours, making this not only a job but a career path with potential for advancement.
Working at Futures means joining a respectful and mission-driven team that values complex and meaningful work. The organization emphasizes job security, career development, and fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is embraced. Eligibility for this role requires exceptional communication skills, empathy, and the ability to quickly build rapport with individuals served. The successful candidate will be a good listener, a dedicated team player, and someone who is genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families affected by developmental disabilities.
Given its extensive experience, comprehensive support, and professional growth opportunities, Futures stands out as an excellent choice for those seeking a career in ABA therapy. By joining Futures, Behavior Technicians not only contribute to transformative outcomes for individuals with ASD but also gain valuable experience and pave the way for future professional development in the behavioral health field.
