Job Description
Intercare Therapy is a dedicated provider of behavioral health services, specializing in supporting students with diverse needs across various school districts. The company operates extensively within the Greater Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas, including prominent districts like LAUSD and LBUSD. Intercare Therapy is committed to delivering high-quality, individualized therapeutic interventions that enhance student learning and development through evidence-based practices. The organization fosters a collaborative environment where therapists, educators, and families work together to implement tailored educational and behavioral plans. The company's mission is to ensure continuous, effective care and support for students requiring behavioral intervention, helping them achieve their academic and social potential.\n\nThe Coverage Behavior Technician role within Intercare Therapy's School Services team is pivotal in maintaining uninterrupted behavioral support when primary Behavior Interventionists are unavailable. This floating position ensures consistent application of Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies to address student-specific behavioral needs. Working across multiple school sites within assigned regions, the Coverage Behavior Technician engages in direct therapy and administrative responsibilities to support student progress. The role encompasses monitoring and assisting students through daily routines, facilitating recreational and off-campus activities, and responding effectively to crisis situations using Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques. This position requires collaboration with supervisors and other staff to maintain open communication and uphold professional standards across documentation, scheduling, and client confidentiality. The Coverage Behavior Technician also plays a significant role in data collection and behavior tracking, ensuring that all interventions are accurately recorded and reported. The position guarantees 30 hours per week during the regular school year, aligned with school days Monday through Friday. Covered assignments may vary in duration, and when not actively assigned to a school, technicians report to Behavioral Health Centers to perform essential non-coverage functions. Compensation ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills and flexibility demanded by this role. Overall, this employment opportunity offers a meaningful way to contribute to student development in varied educational settings while working with a supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to behavioral health excellence.
