As a Behavior Interventionist, candidates will work hands-on with children, using evidence-based ABA techniques to improve social skills, communication, and developmental outcomes. Candidates must be able to commit to at least 15 hours per week, with a base pay of $24 per hour.

This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and handling therapy materials and toys during home visits. Frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting are necessary to adequately observe, assess, and interact with participants. Candidates must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance to effectively travel to home settings.

Easterseals Southern California seeks individuals with a genuine passion for working with children, especially those with special needs, and an interest in behavioral health fields. They provide an initial two-week comprehensive training program (Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours) to familiarize new hires with ABA methodologies and best practices. Candidates should be prepared to pass background checks, drug screenings, and provide proof of immunization records and tuberculosis test results.
