Job Description
KinderCare Learning Companies is a leading and respected early childhood education provider that has been shaping the beginnings of children’s educational journeys for decades. Recognized as the first and only early childhood education provider to receive the prestigious Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, KinderCare is known for its commitment to cultivating confident learners, fostering new friendships, and guiding inquisitive young minds through their foundational years. Through its network of programs including KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, and Crème de la Crème, the company serves families across numerous communities by delivering varied and flexible early education and childcare options. These programs emphasize creating nurturing, safe environments where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while supporting the evolving needs of families. KinderCare operates over 2,000 sites and centers spanning 40 states and the District of Columbia, reflecting its expansive reach and dedication to making high-quality childcare accessible regardless of location or background.
The role of a Teacher at KinderCare’s Champions program centers around support and leadership within elementary school settings, primarily during out-of-school hours. This position plays a vital role in empowering hardworking families by offering a safe, engaging space where children can continue to learn and grow beyond the traditional classroom. As a Teacher, you will not only deliver curriculum tailored to meet the unique developmental needs of each child, but also serve as a coach and mentor to less experienced teachers within the classroom. Your leadership will influence best practices and foster an environment where kids feel confident, motivated, and supported.
By collaborating closely with school administrators and building strong partnerships with parents, you will help integrate Champions programs into district activities, enhancing children's learning experiences and aligning with community goals. Additional responsibilities involve contributing to the center’s overall success by working with leadership to meet enrollment targets, achieve accreditation standards, and engage families and communities effectively. Your ability to cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and corporate partners is crucial in maintaining the program’s reputation and impact.
As an employer, KinderCare offers a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture where diversity and equal opportunity are deeply valued. The company supports its employees through comprehensive benefits that include discounted child care, medical, dental, and vision insurance (even for pets), mental health resources through employee assistance programs, and wellness initiatives. The compensation range for the Teacher position is $15.00 to $20.25 per hour, reflecting the value placed on education professionals dedicated to nurturing children’s growth and development.
Joining KinderCare as a Teacher means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that invests in your professional development, promotes a healthy work-life balance, and provides the tools you need to succeed. If you are passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive difference in children’s lives while advancing your career, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a supportive and innovative environment.
