Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen or pastry setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or similar role preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to maintain high-quality standards consistently
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and standards
- Manage and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and coordinated preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assist in the creation and innovation of new dessert menu items
- Support kitchen team members during peak service periods
