The role of the Beer Garden Operations Assistant is critical in supporting the owners with managing all facets of the beer garden’s daily operations and overall guest experience. This position requires a proactive individual capable of handling responsibilities from staff training and development to event planning, product knowledge, and strategic planning. The assistant plays a key leadership role in cultivating a positive work environment among front-of-the-house hourly employees while ensuring adherence to the company’s guest service standards. They will assist in organizing private events, overseeing service delivery, implementing new operational processes, and contributing to the overall vision and growth of the department. The ideal candidate must bring extensive knowledge in food and beverage management, proven leadership skills, impeccable personal presentation, and an ability to maintain guest satisfaction and positive relationships. Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or ten years of equivalent professional experience
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Superb effective business writing skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Impeccable personal presentation and sense of decorum
  • Ability to access all areas of the facility and travel off property when needed
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team and/or its individual members
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Effective English-language written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to identify and assess problems and situations, refer to applicable policies and guidelines, identify practical creative options and determine, develop, and recommend appropriate courses of action
  • Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, providing and obtaining information of a complex, technical and sensitive nature effectively, clearly, correctly, concisely, completely, logically, timely, and at an appropriate level and in appropriate format while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet and to manipulate them from heights, which may require the use of a foot-stool
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or ten years of equivalent professional experience

  • Impeccable personal presentation and sense of decorum
  • Four years or more of progressive restaurant management experience is desired but not required
  • Beer, spirits and wine certification(s)

Job Duties

  • Ensure that every guest receives the Dacha Experience
  • Complete knowledge of all products and specifications
  • Develop and implement strategic plan and vision for their department
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution and measurement of guest service standards
  • Assist owners with the sale, organization and execution of private events
  • Hire, train, develop and discipline hourly front of the house staff according to company guidelines
  • Direct the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure a competitive position in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality environment
