The Meat and Seafood Host role at Lowes Foods is designed for enthusiastic team members who are passionate about providing excellent guest service and leveraging their selling skills to enhance the shopping experience. As a frontline representative in the meat and seafood department, the Host plays a crucial role in engaging with guests, preparing meat and seafood products to the store's standards, and maintaining the department’s cleanliness and safety. Starting at $16 per hour with an additional premium for hours worked during specific promotional periods, this position offers not only attractive compensation but also an opportunity to grow within a respected company. The role requires a mix of hands-on product preparation, customer interaction, and teamwork, making it dynamic and rewarding. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly
  • ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
  • create a selling environment using selling skills
  • prepare knife-ready products for sale by cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing according to Lowes Foods standards
  • assist in product receiving, inventory, and storage
  • price, stock, and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat and seafood in sales areas
  • maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat and seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor
  • maintain high quality and freshness of products available for sale and ensure all products are in date
  • communicate shrink issues to management
  • communicate guest requests and concerns to management
  • make PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat and seafood department
  • perform all other duties as assigned by management
