As a respected organization in the human services sector, CIS prioritizes compassion, respect, and empowerment in all its programs and services.\n\nThe role of a Direct Service Professional (DSP) at CIS offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by providing hands-on support in their homes and community environments. This hourly position welcomes candidates without prior experience, as comprehensive training is provided to ensure every employee gains the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and confidently. Starting wages range from $20.25 to $22.25 per hour, depending on factors like experience, training completed, and the location of the role. Both full-time and part-time employment options are available, including opportunities for shifts during nights, weekends, and flexible hours to accommodate various schedules.\n\nDSPs play a critical role in promoting the financial stability, independence, and social engagement of individuals served by CIS. CIS emphasizes a supportive environment where employees feel valued and empowered to grow within their careers in human services.\n\nThis position requires direct interaction and coordination with individuals receiving services, helping them with a range of daily activities from household chores to medical appointment scheduling. The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, empathy, and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for those they support. CIS also provides its employees with an array of benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, various insurance coverages, and wellness programs, creating a positive workplace and encouraging long-term career development within the agency.
