Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or beauty sales experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours per shift
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
  • Ability to use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items including reaching and lifting above the head
  • Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

  • Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals, utilizing both in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
  • Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
  • Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
  • Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners
  • Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts
