Job Description
Timbers Company is a distinguished developer and operator of exceptional boutique hotels, residence clubs, and resort communities located in some of the most sought-after destinations worldwide. The company prides itself on delivering world-class hospitality combined with a deep appreciation for the authentic character of each location it calls home. One of Timbers Company's prized properties is situated on Captiva Island, Florida, a 330-acre retreat and wildlife nature preserve on the Florida Gulf Coast. This destination has been a beloved getaway for generations of families and welcomes guests to experience elevated coastal lifestyles with a blend of luxury amenities and natural beauty.
The Captiva Island resort embodies the company’s core values: authenticity, humility, teamwork, valuing time, and trustworthiness. These principles guide every interaction on the property, from hospitality operations and asset management to development and sales. The resort aims to create memorable and enjoyable experiences for guests through passionate and attentive service. Working for this team means joining a dedicated group of professionals who thrive in a paradise-like setting and are committed to maintaining the resort’s high standards.
The company offers a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; paid life insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage; paid time off and holidays; a 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4 percent; and commuter and company-paid toll programs.
The current position available is for a personable and attentive Bartender to serve alcoholic beverages properly and responsibly in line with all laws and company standards. The bartender will be responsible for providing exceptional service to resort members and guests, using established cocktail recipes, and upholding sanitation and safety regulations. The role requires working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and maintaining impeccable standards of appearance and grooming.
The position pays $12.00 per hour plus the opportunity to earn tips, offering a rewarding career path for individuals experienced in bartending within upscale restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club environments. The role encompasses numerous duties including following standard operating procedures, completing shift checklists, managing inventory, engaging directly with guests to take orders accurately, and ensuring the bar area is pristine and well-stocked. Collaboration with restaurant management and fellow staff through daily communication and pre-shift meetings is an essential aspect of this role.
Additional expectations include the commitment to comply with beverage service laws such as Alcohol Awareness Certification and Food Handlers Certification, maintaining professional conduct and composure under pressure, and being proactive in job performance. A flexible schedule requiring 40 hours per week with weekend and holiday availability is essential.
This opportunity to work with Timbers Company on Captiva Island is not only a job but a chance to be part of a dedicated team that values authentic experiences and outstanding guest service in an idyllic setting. Candidates interested in this position will be joining an Equal Opportunity Employer that embraces diversity and personal growth while providing a supportive and drug-free workplace. The company also offers reasonable accommodations during the application process to ensure an equitable hiring experience for all applicants.
