The J. D. McCarty Center is currently seeking an energetic and child-centered Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their dedicated team. This full-time position requires a 40-hour workweek, with standard hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The role offers a starting salary beginning at $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The position emphasizes work-life balance, explicitly stating that no more than a 40-hour workweek is required, and extra hours worked can be traded for time off later in the week.

As a BCBA at the J. D. McCarty Center, the successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing and implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This includes supervising and training all Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Technicians, supporting interns pursuing BCBA certification, and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs. The BCBA will conduct thorough functional behavior assessments to identify maladaptive behaviors and develop strategic interventions that promote the acquisition of replacement skills. Collaboration is a key component of this role, requiring the candidate to work closely with a variety of disciplines such as physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy to develop informed, interdisciplinary treatment plans.

The position also involves active participation in center-related functions, promotional outings, and marketing events to advocate for ABA services. Accurate data collection, timely documentation of session notes, and billing compliance are essential responsibilities. Supporting the ABA program management team with outpatient wait list coordination, intake processes, which include parent interviews and collaboration with schools, other therapies, and healthcare providers, is also required. The BCBA will deliver presentations, training, and education to departmental staff while maintaining orientation and continuing education records for the department.
