Job Description

The company is currently seeking a Batchmaker/Compounder to join their full-time team in Cypress, CA. This role centers on the precise and safe preparation of production batches of their plant-based cleaning products. As a Batchmaker, you will be responsible for ensuring that each batch meets strict quality standards while adhering to production schedules and inventory demands. You will work closely with quality control personnel and support the manufacturing team by maintaining orderly and compliant batch areas as well as managing raw materials efficiently.

This position offers a starting pay of $23 per hour and involves critical operational tasks within ECOS’s production line. Candidates will be expected to follow detailed batch making schedules, conduct sampling and testing in coordination with the Chemistry team, and report any issues with formulas or equipment. This role requires physical activity including lifting and moving materials, strict adherence to safety protocols, and excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail and the capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for this position.

Job Duties

  • Following batch making schedule and making all liquids necessary to fulfill orders
  • taking all batch samples with corresponding batch sheet to Chemist for quality control
  • reporting all problems and concerns with new and existing formulas to Chemist
  • performing quality control in the lab as required to back-up Chemist and/or Lab Technician
  • keeping all raw materials properly labeled and stored and in their proper location
  • ensuring that all batch tanks, drums, pails, and lab samples are properly identified and labeled
  • providing Purchasing with a weekly requisition for raw materials to be ordered
  • reporting equipment breakdowns immediately to Plant Manager
  • requesting all items needed to successfully perform job to Plant Manager
  • ensuring housekeeping including a clean, organized batch area, in compliance with all safety regulations
  • relocating chemicals received according to Deacom map
  • handling other special projects and requests, as needed
