Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year fine dining server experience required
  • must be able to stand for extended periods
  • ability to continually serve and carry restaurant ware throughout the restaurant
  • extensive knowledge of food, liquor, wine, beer and beverages
  • keen awareness of guests, staff and restaurant dynamics
  • understanding of restaurant fluidity with a sense of urgency
  • maintain composure, good judgment and common sense in all situations
  • strong communication skills with guests, future guests, staff and management
  • ability to self-motivate and creatively interact with guests and staff
  • ability to work within a team
  • availability to work flexible schedules including holidays
  • possession of Health Card or Serve Safe Card
  • possession of Alcohol Service Certification or TIPS certification

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with proper salutation and surnames whenever possible
  • initiate contact with guests upon entry regardless of their waiting location
  • stand tall with welcoming smiles and eye contact
  • organize, plan, multitask and manage assigned section
  • coordinate and detail section with the flow of the entire restaurant
  • maintain cleanliness of tables, section and restaurant
  • complete all opening and closing side work daily
  • communicate efficiently with kitchen and food runners through the POS
  • ensure guests do not have to ask for anything by anticipating needs
  • maintain consistency of service sequences throughout the restaurant
  • prioritize tables, service sequence, order completion and guest satisfaction
  • follow procedures for ordering food and beverage for guests
  • manage and be responsible for guests’ intoxication levels
  • respond expediently and efficiently to guests’ requests, comments, concerns and complaints
  • nurture a positive working environment
  • represent the brand successfully
  • apply creativity and latitude in various situations and events
