Job Description

Bonaventure of Vancouver is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional lifestyle options for seniors. Located in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility, Bonaventure offers a range of care services including assisted living, licensed boarding home care, memory care, and independent living. Unlike traditional nursing homes, Bonaventure also provides in-home health care services within their community, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment for all residents. The community prides itself on a commitment to quality care and a philosophy grounded in integrity, encapsulated by their guiding principle, "you can never go wrong doing the right thing." This philosophy extends not just to their residents but also to their team members, fostering a work culture based on respect, gratitude, and empowerment.

As a Bartender/Server at Bonaventure of Vancouver, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the daily lives of residents by managing and tending the Pub/Cafe. This position is designed for an energetic, customer-service oriented individual who thrives in a social setting and desires to be a community ambassador. The role requires someone who can skillfully prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine, as well as pub-style food items such as sandwiches and flatbread pizzas. As a Bartender/Server, you will build meaningful relationships with the residents, making sure each guest feels valued and cared for during their visit. Your duties will include using the Point of Sale System for order processing and cash handling, maintaining cleanliness and stock levels at the bar and pub area, and coordinating with dining staff to ensure smooth service of food and drinks.

This position not only demands expertise in mixology and customer service but also calls for professionalism and efficiency in managing unexpected situations. The ideal candidate should have prior bartending experience or professional training and possess a flexible work schedule to accommodate the community's needs. With a starting wage ranging from $18.00 to $19.50, the role offers competitive pay along with numerous benefits such as medical and dental coverage for part-time workers with a minimum of 30 hours per week, a generous 401k matching retirement program, paid time off, paid training, and continuing education reimbursements. Bonaventure is deeply committed to the professional growth of its associates, providing on-the-job training and career advancement opportunities.

Working at Bonaventure means joining a team focused on service excellence within an environment that truly values each member’s contribution. As part of their serving team, you will experience a dynamic and exciting workplace culture that combines comprehensive training, mentoring, and a chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of senior residents. If you are a friendly, motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and community engagement, this position offers a rewarding career path in senior living hospitality. Apply today and become part of a team that is dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors while supporting your professional aspirations.
