Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves beverages and food to customers following brand's core Steps of Service
  • Recommends wines and beers to customers upon request
  • Creates food pairings with wines and beers to enhance menu offerings
  • Greets guests warmly with a smile and checks for table setting completeness
  • Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to brand specifications
  • Offers food menus and coffee services to guests
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of wine and local and general beer inventory
  • Communicates daily food and drink specials to guests
  • Takes accurate food and beverage orders
  • Demonstrates knowledge of menu offerings and food and drink pairings
  • Accurately enters orders into the point-of-sale system
  • Ensures guest satisfaction and offers up-selling opportunities
  • Verifies ages of guests ordering alcoholic beverages and serves alcohol responsibly
  • Monitors and reports intoxicated guests to management
  • Cleans and maintains the bar and dining area
  • Orders and stocks liquor, wine, and beer
  • Participates in daily side-work and helps maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Provides tableside wine service and anticipates guest needs
  • Assists other servers and bartenders as needed
  • Prepares and presents bills and processes payments
  • Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures
