Job Requirements

  • able to serve alcohol according to state law
  • able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location
  • able to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • able to stand and move for up to five hours
  • good sense of balance
  • able to bend, kneel, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds frequently

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
  • strong knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of liquor laws and alcohol service regulations
  • proficiency with point-of-sale systems
  • basic math skills for money handling

Job Duties

  • act as an effective salesperson for food and beverage items
  • make guests feel appreciated through accommodating actions
  • practice the hospitality halo by smiling, stepping aside, and speaking first
  • work collaboratively with all team members
  • communicate clearly and enthusiastically with guests and staff
  • greet guests promptly and ensure timely food and beverage delivery
  • maintain thorough knowledge of service sequences, bar accounting, and drink recipes
  • prepare quality drinks and ensure perfect drink presentations
  • keep the bar clean and well-stocked
  • handle mistakes by taking ownership and resolving guest concerns
