The company prides itself on fostering a culture of respect, growth, and well-being among its team members while being recognized as one of Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces in 2025. Located at 5175 28th Street SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this particular Drury Hotels property offers a part-time afternoon position designed for individuals who enjoy hospitality and guest interaction in a flexible and supportive setting.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $18.50 per hour, with shifts from 4 pm to 8 pm, up to three shifts a week, Thursday through Saturday. Employees earn paid time off and have access to company-matched 401(k) retirement savings options, enhancing the long-term benefits of working with Drury Hotels. Besides compensation, the hotel emphasizes work-life balance with flexible scheduling, incentives including quarterly bonuses up to $3,200 annually, and employee discounts on hotel stays.

As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the hotel’s complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback — an evening food and beverage service that guests look forward to. Your role ensures that this experience is enjoyable and memorable for each guest, reflecting Drury Hotels' commitment to high standards of hospitality. Key responsibilities include overseeing food preparation and cleanup during the Kickback, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and lobby areas, adhering to food safety standards, and ensuring supplies are well-stocked. This role embodies the Drury hospitality culture by maintaining integrity, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor while providing information and assistance to guests.

Ideal candidates for this position will be energetic, personable communicators who thrive in a guest-focused environment. Knowledge of hotel operations and community services, strong inventory management skills related to food supplies, and the ability to communicate clearly in English are essential qualifications. The role also requires a warm and welcoming personality that can contribute to a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere during the Kickback event. This opportunity promises career growth through mentorship, cross-training, and development plans, enabling you to enhance your skills within the hospitality industry.

Drury Hotels encourages individuals passionate about hospitality, guest service, and teamwork to apply and join a company where their contributions truly matter and where there is a clear pathway for advancement. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking part-time employment with meaningful benefits, a supportive workplace, and the chance to be part of an award-winning team dedicated to rising, shining, and working happy.
