The role in question is a Bar Team Member, responsible for preparing and serving beverages in a bar setting within various Levy venues. The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly and serving drinks promptly and courteously. The position demands a thorough understanding and adherence to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations to ensure the responsible serving of alcoholic beverages. Key to success in this role is maintaining an organized and well-stocked bar, preparing garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain beverage quality, and handling payment processing accurately.

Additionally, the Bar Team Member will ensure cleanliness and safety in their work area, including washing and sterilizing glassware and maintaining attractive bar displays. Recognizing signs of intoxication and acting according to training is critical in promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. This role requires someone who is attentive, friendly, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to state laws
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must pass background check and comply with all company policies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of liquor laws

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Sets up assigned bars
  • requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks
  • mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practices prudent portion control
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
  • Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws
  • Receives payments from guests, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed
  • Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, and equipment items
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
  • keeps work area clean and organized
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware
