Job Requirements
- Minimum two years bartending experience in craft cocktail and liquor programs for bartender role
- minimum four years bartending experience with progressively increasing responsibilities for bar lead role
- strong time management skills
- proven experience in sales particularly in food or hospitality sectors
- proficiency in using POS systems
- knowledge of food safety practices relevant to beverage preparation and service
- TABC and food handler certification
- ability to work evening and weekend shifts
- physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications
- A successful candidate for Bartender will have at least two years experience bartending in a craft cocktail and liquor program, while a successful candidate for Bar Lead will have two additional years experience with progressively increasing responsibilities within a bar program
- A successful candidate will be willing and excited to learn about wine
- Proven experience in sales, particularly in the food industry or hospitality sector
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to beverage preparation and service
- Willingness to step out behind bar during service when needed and work occasional server shifts
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor, capable of providing exceptional customer service
- Passionate about natural wine and hospitality
- Strong knowledge of or willingness to learn about wine regions, producers, and trends (especially low-intervention/natural wines)
- TABC and Food Handler certified (required)
- 2+ years experience in wine bars, restaurants, or similar settings
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to curate a cocktail and liquor program that fits within the philosophy and ethos of Little Blue
- Serve natural wines by the glass and bottle, with confident knowledge of producers, varietals, and regions
- Craft and serve cocktails or other bar offerings
- Provide exceptional guest service: warm greetings, informed recommendations, and personable engagement
- Educate guests on natural wine and zero additive liquors and promote interest in the category
- Help train staff and prepare training materials on zero additive liquors
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic of the bar at all times
- Operate the POS system, handle transactions, and manage tabs accurately
- Monitor and enforce responsible alcohol service and uphold TABC regulations
- Bar Lead Duties (if applicable)
- Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the GM or Floor Manager, including as opening or closing manager
- Oversee bar inventory: ordering, receiving, rotating, and storing all wine and bar products
- Collaborate with ownership/GM to maintain a liquor list and ensure alignment with the restaurant identity
- Develop and maintain relationships with liquor reps, distributors, and local producers
- Track product costs, wine and liquor pours, and bar profitability
- Train and mentor bar staff in zero-additive liquor knowledge, service standards, and bar procedures
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations
- Coordinate with the kitchen on beverage pairings and seasonal menu updates
- Support special events such as wine tastings, winemaker dinners, or private parties
