We are currently seeking experienced bartenders to join our dynamic events team at Zoo Atlanta. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding beverage service during high-profile special events hosted at the zoo and potentially other venues throughout the region. The bartender will be responsible for the full spectrum of bar service, including pre-event setup, efficient and courteous service throughout the event, replenishment coordination with bar backs, and post-event cleanup and inventory management. The position demands an individual who is highly organized, attentive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
As a bartender with Proof of the Pudding at Zoo Atlanta, you will engage with guests directly, providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere. You must possess a strong knowledge of mixed drink preparation, demonstrate superior communication skills, and maintain impeccable grooming and personal hygiene consistent with our upscale VIP service standards. Physical stamina is required due to the nature of event work, which involves prolonged periods of moving, lifting up to 40 pounds, and event setup/breakdown activities.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years bartending experience
- TIPS certification or similar accredited certification
- Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must live near or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Physical endurance for prolonged periods of standing and moving
- Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of bartending experience
- Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator
- Must be experienced in preparing mixed drinks
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must be TIPs certified or hold a similar accredited certification
- Must be extremely hardworking and organized
- Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable
- Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene
- Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required
- Must live near or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA
- Must be comfortable serving when no bartending shifts are available
Job Duties
- Responsible for both pre and post bar set-up/break down responsibilities
- Sets bar up in a timely manner
- Communicates well with bar back during event to assist them with replenishment during shift
- Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service
- Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event
- Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice
- Record closing inventory used to balance bar consumption vs sales
- Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received
