Job Description

The Lenox Hotel is a cherished independent hotel situated in the historic Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1900, The Lenox has become synonymous with genuine hospitality, character, and creativity, serving as a beloved landmark and home-away-from-home for both local and traveling guests. Known for its commitment to offering exceptional guest experiences, The Lenox empowers team members to surprise and delight visitors through thoughtful and personalized service. With a blend of traditional charm and modern amenities, the hotel is deeply rooted in the fabric of Boston, providing an environment where guests feel welcomed and valued. The Lenox’s dedication to quality and service has made it a top choice for those seeking a memorable stay in the city’s vibrant Back Bay area.

Within this storied hotel, the Willow & Ivy restaurant presents an exciting opportunity for a talented Bartender. This role invites a candidate to bring both skill and personality to a polished and welcoming bar environment. Bartenders at The Lenox work across three unique dining outlets: Sweeney’s on Boylston, a lively Irish classic pub; The Irving, an intimate lobby cocktail bar known for its turn-of-the-century charm and expertly crafted drinks; and Willow & Ivy, a refined dining experience offering fresh New England-inspired American cuisine, led by Executive Chef Daniel Kenney. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about the craft of bartending, the art of cocktail creation, and the joy of guest engagement.

As a Bartender at Willow & Ivy, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, always with consistency and attention to detail. The role requires offering personalized and warm service to guests, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and supporting the dining room team to ensure a smooth flow of service. Bartenders will also assist in developing and executing seasonal cocktail menus, ensuring responsible alcohol service in line with state and hotel policies. Handling cash and POS transactions accurately is another key part of this role.

This position offers a unique chance to contribute to an environment that values creativity, guest satisfaction, and high standards of hospitality. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced yet refined setting, connecting with guests, and taking pride in your craft, this opportunity at The Lenox’s Willow & Ivy might be the perfect fit. The role requires flexibility, including availability on Sundays and Mondays, as well as a commitment to upholding the hotel’s esteemed reputation through every interaction and beverage served. Compensation includes an hourly wage starting at $6.75 plus gratuities, complemented by a range of comprehensive benefits.
