The company is currently seeking a Whiskey Specialist to join the distinguished Cascades Restaurant team. This position offers an hourly wage of $12.14 plus tips and is open until July 31, 2026, or until filled. The Whiskey Specialist will be responsible for managing and curating a collection of over 2,000 whiskies, including exclusive access to the hotel's own whiskey vault. Candidates with a passion for whisky, excellent knowledge of spirits, and preferred certifications such as WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) and CWS (Certified Whisky Specialist) are highly encouraged to apply.
The role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about whiskey and enjoy educating and engaging with guests to enhance their dining experience. The Whiskey Specialist will be expected to demonstrate expertise in whisky varieties, production processes, and tasting notes to guide patrons in selecting the perfect drink. In addition, they will uphold high standards in service, maintain inventory and stock levels, and ensure compliance with all state liquor laws. Job Duties
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards
- perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
- ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures
- complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
- know and comply with state liquor laws
- ensure established pars are maintained
- perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules
