Bartenders joining the team at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego find themselves in a dynamic and enriching environment where customer satisfaction and creativity are paramount. The Bartender role involves not only serving libations but also providing customized recommendations that cater to individual guest tastes and preferences. This role is ideal for individuals familiar with the latest trends in mixology, knowledgeable about bar equipment, and adept at maintaining high sanitation standards to ensure an attractive and functional bar setting. The right candidate should expect a balance of casual conversation, creative expression, and the opportunity to build upon previous bartending experiences and personal style. An understanding of state and local serving regulations is also preferred.
The position is based within the "Top of the Hyatt," San Diego’s iconic sky-high venue offering stunning views, a curated beverage program, and unique rituals that enhance the guest experience. This venue hosts semi-private and private dining events for up to 125 guests, adding an exciting and sophisticated element to the Bartender’s responsibilities. Shift times are flexible, ranging typically from 1:00 pm to 1:00 am, accommodating the venue’s open hours of 3 pm to midnight.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bartending experience
- Knowledge of mixology and drink preparation
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Familiarity with cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to comply with serving laws and regulations
