The role of a Bartender Tipped at Sodexo, specifically located at UNITED CLUB - DCA, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced environment. This part-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $20.50 per hour. The shifts are morning-based with varying days, providing a degree of flexibility suitable for many candidates. As a Bartender at Sodexo, you will be responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and efficiently, collaborating closely with wait staff and other team members. Physical stamina is essential due to the requirement to stand and walk for extended periods, and the job involves frequent lifting of products up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifts up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • ability to make a wide range of drink recipes is preferred
  • must meet minimum age to serve alcohol or bartend based on local regulations
  • ability to walk or stand for extended periods up to 8 hours or more
  • physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive movements
  • punctual attendance and reliability
  • friendly, tactful, and attentive customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol or bartend based on local city and state regulations

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, mix and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, and create drink recipes with appropriate garnishes
  • ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
  • prepare accurate beginning counts and issue inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
  • work collaboratively with wait staff and other team members to ensure prompt customer service
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
  • attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
