The Bartender Tipped position at Sodexo, located at UNITED CLUB - PDX, offers a part-time opportunity with a competitive pay rate of $19.36 per hour. The work schedule primarily involves afternoon and evening shifts on varying days. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and customer service who excel in fast-paced environments. As a Bartender Tipped, you will be responsible for greeting guests, mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, and ensuring the bar area is well-stocked and maintained. Collaboration with wait staff and attentive service to customers are essential components of this position. The role requires physical stamina to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding eight hours, and the ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting and repetitive movements.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • ability to make a wide range of drink recipes and mix drinks correctly preferred
  • must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol or bartend based on local city and state regulations

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, create drink recipes with appropriate garnishes
  • ensure the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
  • prepare accurate beginning counts and issue inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
  • work collaboratively with wait staff and other team members to provide prompt customer service
  • maintain a friendly, tactful, and attentive demeanor when working with customers
  • walk or stand for extended periods throughout shifts, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
  • reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
  • perform repetitive movements
  • attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform additional duties as assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
