In addition to frontline service, the bartender plays a crucial role in maintaining the bar's cleanliness, stock levels, and presentation. They will ensure proper usage of all supplies to meet budgeted beverage costs and prevent waste. This includes completing opening side duties such as checking stock quality and quantity, setting up bottles, inspecting bar tools and equipment, and ensuring refrigeration and glass washing machinery are operating properly. The role also involves coaching and guiding bar back staff to help maintain efficient operations.
Conrad Nashville values professionalism and a guest-centric attitude, expecting bartenders to communicate effectively with managers and coworkers to quickly resolve any guest issues or needs. The ability to uphold the property's core values and department standards is essential. Candidates must hold valid ServSafe and TABC licenses, be at least 18 years old, and demonstrate flexibility regarding work schedules, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is needed to work long hours standing and performing tasks in potentially hot indoor environments, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and maneuver efficiently around the bar area.
