The role of Bartender at Valor is crucial to upholding the company’s standards of guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This position involves the preparation, mixing, and serving of drinks while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organization in the bar area. Bartenders at Valor are responsible for managing beverage inventory, adhering strictly to safety and beverage control policies, and providing friendly, professional service to all guests.

Bartenders must comply with all applicable state liquor laws and ensure responsible service, including verifying customers’ legal drinking age. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • three to six months experience in a food/beverage services environment or establishment
  • must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer printouts, written instructions and observe restaurant in dimly lit conditions
  • able to mix cocktails correctly
  • able to provide wine service
  • must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items and balance and carry trays
  • able to read, speak and understand English

Job Duties

  • Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines and policies
  • perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
  • check customer identification to confirm legal drinking age
  • ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges accurately
  • complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
  • know and comply with state liquor laws and obtain Tips certification
  • ensure established pars are maintained
  • perform all side work duties according to side work schedules
