Known for its sophisticated atmosphere and exceptional guest service, The Cellar offers patrons an intimate setting where elevated wine experiences and gourmet dining converge. As part of the Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard, the establishment embraces a commitment to quality, refinement, and personalized hospitality, ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable and unique experience. Combining the charm of boutique vineyard living with luxury hospitality standards, The Cellar stands out as a premier destination for wine enthusiasts and travelers seeking an authentic and upscale wine country atmosphere.

The role of the Bartender at The Cellar is central to delivering this elevated guest experience. This position requires an individual who is passionate about hospitality and possesses extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and food pairings. The Bartender is tasked with creating a warm, personalized, and refined service environment while maintaining operational excellence and adhering to all alcohol service regulations, including Oregon liquor laws. Working in the intimate and upscale environment of The Cellar, the Bartender will support luxury guest experiences by attentively managing the beverage service, engaging guests with knowledgeable recommendations, and collaborating seamlessly with culinary and service teams.

Beyond simply serving drinks, the Bartender at The Cellar plays a vital role in enhancing the winery's brand reputation through professional presentation, precise execution of beverage recipes, and meticulous maintenance of the bar and service areas. The position demands the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting, always poised to deliver anticipatory guest service with attention to detail and courtesy. This role also involves ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, supporting special events, and contributing to the overall ambiance and guest satisfaction that defines The Cellar experience.

Candidates with at least two years of bartending experience in upscale restaurants, wineries, luxury hotels, or similar hospitality environments are preferred. Experience specific to wine country or vineyard hospitality is especially valued, as is a strong understanding of Willamette Valley wines and wine service standards. The ideal applicant will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be adept with POS systems, and demonstrate a passion for the food, wine, and hospitality culture. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential, along with the physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 30 pounds.

By joining The Cellar at Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard, bartenders become part of a team dedicated to delivering top-tier service in a setting that honors the artistry of wine and exceptional hospitality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a boutique luxury environment that values professionalism, inclusivity, and a shared commitment to excellence.
