The role of a Bartender at Bally's is vital in delivering an exceptional customer service experience within the high-energy, fast-paced environment typical of casinos, bars, and clubs. The bartender is responsible for mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring rapid service speeds while maintaining quality and accuracy. This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, portion control, and safe alcohol serving practices. The bartender will operate cash registers and POS systems, managing cash and credit transactions appropriately and adhering to all financial controls established by the company. Beyond drink preparation, the role involves arranging attractive displays of bottles and glassware, replenishing bar snacks, and maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in the workstation according to health and safety regulations. Bartenders act as ambassadors of goodwill, contributing positively to the property's image by promoting casino events and programs, engaging with guests by name, and monitoring alcohol consumption responsibly. The position involves working closely with other beverage staff, supervisors, and casino team members to resolve service issues efficiently while upholding Bally's standards and policies. Job Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
must be 21 years of age
minimum of two to three years of previous experience as bartender in a comparable establishment or casino outlet
must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English
must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests
must be able to count money and change correctly
knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
available to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
must have basic mathematical skills
must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
ability to interpret a variety of instructions

Job Duties

Takes orders from guests or servers
maintains a 2 minute or less production cycle for a 20-drink tray or a 2-minute cycle (2 drinks a minute) for a cash bar
prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required
operates a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change
accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure
maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
provides fast, friendly, and professional service
provides personalized service and uses guest's name
orders and requisitions liquors and supplies
arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display
slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels and nuts
maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
adheres to department and property policies and procedures
maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia
follows alcohol awareness procedures regarding company's responsible beverage service
serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at guest and public relations functions
promotes casino events and programs
monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
requests ID from customers when legal age is questionable
works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar backs, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
resolves service problems according to guidelines
