The Bartender role at PENN Entertainment is pivotal in enhancing guest experiences by delivering fast, friendly, and professional beverage service within the casino environment. This position involves careful monitoring of guest alcohol consumption, personalized service by remembering guest names, promoting events and casino programs, and working collaboratively with beverage servers and other team members. Bartenders are responsible for preparing drinks accurately according to recipes, handling cash transactions with integrity, and maintaining a clean, stocked workstation that adheres to strict health and safety guidelines. Job Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Able to count money and change correctly
Knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
Able to work in constricting areas
Able to tolerate noise and bright lights
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded and noisy environment
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs, and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
Employee could be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
Serve as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions, appears in publicity photos
Promote casino events and programs
Provide personalized service and use guest name
Resolve service problems according to guidelines
Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers
Prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicate with beverage servers, and present drinks to guests or servers
Slice and pit fruit as required
Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils according to established guidelines and safety procedures
Operate a cash register/POS system, ring proper amount into the register and give correct change, account for all cash, charge and complimentary sales, maintain integrity of all financial controls
Work well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
Maintain a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
