As a bartender at PENN Entertainment, you will play a critical role in delivering top-notch service and ensuring a memorable experience for casino guests. The position involves providing fast, friendly, and professional beverage service, promoting casino events and programs, and serving as an ambassador of goodwill both during work and at customer/public relations functions. You'll have the chance to hone your skills in preparing cocktails accurately according to recipe with proper portions and ingredients, effectively managing cash register operations, and maintaining a clean, stocked, and safe workstation. Your communication skills will be put to use in resolving service issues and maintaining positive relationships with guests and team members such as beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisors, and slots supervisors.

Job Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
high school diploma or equivalent
excellent customer service/communication skills
ability to count money and change correctly
knowledge of cocktail ingredients and mixing and pouring techniques
availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
physical mobility with reasonable accommodation
able to respond to visual and oral cues
able to work in constricting areas
able to tolerate noise and bright lights
able to work at fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
physically mobile with ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs
able to perform physical tasks including push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing duties

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
serving as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
promoting casino events and programs
providing personalized service and uses guest name
resolving service problems according to guidelines
providing fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers
preparing and pouring drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicating with beverage servers, and presenting drinks to guests or servers as required
slicing and pitting fruit as required
operating and maintaining all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
operating a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change
accounting for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedures
maintaining integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
maintaining a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
